Trydan B2 Maintenance Guide

← All guides

The Trydan B2 is a compact two-seat electric golf buggy from Trydan EV, a UK supplier based in Wales and London – built for golf courses, estates and everyday transport around a site. This guide covers the routine care that keeps a B2 running reliably and looking its best.

The B2 runs on a 48V electric platform with a 4kW motor and a lithium battery pack in a choice of 105Ah, 125Ah or 150Ah capacities, and carries a 200kg rated load. It comes in ten body colours with a black or white roof, standard or luxury seating, and 8, 10 or 12-inch alloy wheels.

We sell, service and repair the Trydan B2 and can source genuine B2 parts – along with every other make and model.

Trydan B2 Battery & Charging

The B2's lithium battery is close to maintenance-free – there's no water to top up and no acid to clean off the terminals. To get the longest life from it:

If you choose a larger 125Ah or 150Ah pack you'll get more range per charge, which helps on hilly courses and busy days.

Trydan B2 Servicing Schedule

A simple routine keeps a B2 safe and reliable:

We service the Trydan B2 on-site or at our Nottinghamshire workshop.

Common Trydan B2 Problems

Most won't-move faults are simple: the key is off, the forward/reverse switch is in neutral, the battery is flat or a connection has worked loose. Hesitant or jerky acceleration often points to the throttle potentiometer or wiring. Weak brakes usually mean worn brake shoes or stretched cables, and knocks or wandering steering are often track rod ends or a front hub. See the table below for quick checks, and get in touch if the fault persists.

Everyday Care, Seats & Bodywork

Wash the B2 with mild soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid harsh solvents and keep pressure washers away from the electrics, controller and battery area. Wipe the seats – standard or luxury – with a mild cleaner and keep them covered when the cart is stored outside. Rinse grass and mud off the underside and wheels, and check the panels, sills and fenders for knocks as you clean. Damaged panels in the B2's body colours can be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which battery size should I choose for a Trydan B2?
The B2 is offered with 105Ah, 125Ah or 150Ah lithium batteries. For a round of golf or light personal use the 105Ah is usually plenty; choose 125Ah or 150Ah for hilly ground, longer days or heavier use. Tell us how you'll use it and we'll advise.
How should I charge a Trydan B2?
Charge after use with the charger supplied, somewhere dry and ventilated. Lithium batteries don't need topping up with water and don't mind being part-charged, but avoid running the pack completely flat or storing it empty for long periods.
How do I store a Trydan B2 over winter?
Store it under cover, charge the battery to around 50–70%, switch the key off and check the charge every few weeks. Check tyre pressures before you use it again in spring.
Where can I get Trydan B2 parts?
We can source genuine Trydan B2 parts – panels, seats, wheels, brake cables, steering, controller, motor and more. Send us the part number or a photo and your cart's details and we'll check fit and availability.
How often should a Trydan B2 be serviced?
At least once a year, or more often for daily or fleet use. A service covers brakes, steering, suspension, tyres, wiring, the controller and a battery health check. We service the B2 on-site or at our Nottinghamshire workshop.
